Capture those first few hours, days, and weeks

From the fresh 48 hours of your precious baby's life to their first few months, I am there to capture all of those exciting 'firsts' with your gorgeous bundle of joy. As a Toronto newborn and baby photographer, I use a minimal amount of props and I focus more on baby led poses including adorable yawns and outstretched arms. I also provide wraps, headbands for baby girls, and guidance on wardrobe choices for your entire family, in order to ensure you'll get timeless photos that will be cherished indefinitely. Newborn sessions can take place in-studio, outdoors, or in the comfort of your own home. Up to seven family members can attend your newborn shoot. Your session will include solo, sibling and parent shots, as well as, family photos with your little one.

Baby Photography FAQs

It's best to book your newborn photo session a minimum of 4 to 6 weeks before your baby is born. So, you'll be confirmed to shoot within the first two weeks of your little ones life. I only do a limited number of newborn photoshoots each month and my calendar fills up quickly, so let's book and that way you won't have to worry about it.

When should i book my newborn portrait session?

Of course, your baby can arrive any minute and labour is very unpredictable. So, we'll book a tentative date and after your baby is home, you'll only have to email or text me to confirm a date within the first two weeks of newborn's life.

how do i book without knowing when i'll go into labour or if i'll be induced?

It's ideal to shoot newborn photos within the first two weeks of your baby's life. Babies are still in a fetal state during the first 14 days, so it makes it easier to pose them in different positions before they begin stretching.

how soon should i have my session after birth?

can i still book a baby session if my little one is older than two weeks?

Of course, you can! I love taking photos of babies of all ages and we can get beautiful images at all stages of your little ones life. But I won't be able to wrap babies very easily if they're older than two weeks.

can siblings and family members be included in newborn shoots?

Siblings and family members are always welcome to participate in these shoots. I take a combination of solo newborn portraits and lifestyle portraits which can include up to seven family members.

where do you shoot newborn photos?

We can shoot your newborn photos in-studio, at your home, or any locations of your choice. I work with clients across the GTA in Toronto, Etobicoke, North York, Scarborough, Ajax, Brampton, Markham, Mississauga, Oakville, Pickering, Richmond Hill, Vaughan, Newmarket and Thornhill.

do you use lots of props at Baby photoshoots?

I'll include outfits, wraps, a fluffy white mat, and pretty headbands for baby girls. But I rarely use a lot of props and I tend to focus on capturing lifestyle newborn photos. Staging an entire scene is just not style, I prefer to focus on “baby-led” poses such as stretching, yawning, snuggling with siblings or parents. However, if you have a family heirloom or specific items you would like to incorporate in your newborn and family photographs, I'm always willing to accommodate to ensure you get exactly what you want.
