IS 15 MINUTES ENOUGH TIME FOR A HOLIDAY MINI SESSION?
Yes, it is! In the last three years, I’ve successfully shot hundreds of 15 minute minis with children of all ages (including families with three kids under age four and newborns). Based on my experience, 15 minutes works perfectly for shooting Christmas photos, if you feed your baby before our session.
WHERE DO YOU SHOOT MINI SESSION PHOTOS?
I shoot Christmas and holiday mini session photos at verious studios throughout the Toronto area. In fact, I have clients attend my mini sessions from the city of Toronto and across the GTA including Etobicoke, North York, Scarborough, Ajax, Brampton, Markham, Mississauga, Oakville, Pickering, Richmond Hill, Vaughan, Newmarket and Thornhill.
WILL YOU COME TO MY HOME OR A LOCATION OF MY CHOICE FOR A MINI SESSION?
Unfortunately, I won’t shoot mini sessions at your chosen location. It’s simply not worth the overhead costs of traveling, shooting and editing to work with only one client for $275+HST. In fact, I’ll only shoot mini sessions, if I can work with a minimum of three families per hour. And, I only host mini sessions a maximum of once per year during the Christmas holiday season.
CAN YOU EXTEND THE DURATION OF MINI SESSIONS?
Unfortunately, I can’t do that because studios charge me by the hour and extending these sessions impedes with my ability to shoot photos of other families. And, I no longer offer half sessions, so if you want more time (1 hour or longer), I recommend booking a one hour session on a weekday, which starts at $550+HST and these include more photos of your choice.
HOW CAN I GET MY CHILDREN TO COOPERATE?
Please make sure all children and babies eat and nap before their photoshoot to ensure they’re in the best mood possible. This way you’re least likely to have a hungry and cranky child. In addition, I have a few tricks up my sleeve and I’ll sometimes incentivize kids with candy (only if the parents permit me to do so).
CAN I SEE EXAMPLES OF YOUR WORK FROM MINI PHOTO SHOOTS?
Of course, the entire gallery on this page includes photos from family, maternity, and couple mini sessions.
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BOOK MY MINI PHOTO SHOOT RESERVATION?
Your best bet is to book as soon as I announce the date for my upcoming Christmas and holiday mini sessions. Reservations are confirmed on a first-come-first-serve basis upon when I receive your payment and signed contract.
DO I NEED TO PAY IN FULL OR SUBMIT A 50% DEPOSIT FOR MY MINI PHOTOSHOOT?
Unlike regular family sessions (which only require a 50% deposit), minis must be paid in full upon booking in order to secure your spot. This is because, whether or not you attend, I still have to pay the studio for my rental time. In addition, you must arrive on-time for mini sessions because I’ll have other clients before or after you, as well as, photographers renting the studio space after me and we must be courteous of everyone’s time.
